The
Aloha International Steel Guitar Club Annual Convention -
July 9th, 10th and 11th in Winchester, IN. The main
convention site is the Randolph Inn and Suites. Reservations
phone: 1-765-584-8281. Featured players from Hawaii will be
Dr. Isaac Akuna and Bobby Igano. Mainland players include
Duke Ching, Herbert Hanawahine and Bernie Endaya along with
other members of the steel club. Daily stage
performances from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Saturday evening
there will be a Luau and Show from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
On Wednesday, July 8th, L.T. Zinn and Don Fullmer will host
a special seminar program. L.T. will do a one on one session
from Noon until 2:45 pm and then continue with a group class
specializing on bar technique, for authentic Hawaiian Vamps,
Intros and Endings. Tablature will be provided. Don will
present a class from 1:00 pm until 2:45 entitled "How did
they do that?" The event will be held at the Municipal Golf
Course Club House. If you plan to attend these classes phone

The Annual Rocky Mountain Steel
Guitar Show - Saturday, July 18th at the Ramada Plaza,
10 East 120th Ave., 120th and I-25 in Denver, CO. For room

Doug Jernigan will be conducting
the Pedal Steel Guitar E9th tuning seminar at the
International Steel Guitar Convention this year, on Friday,
September 4th. Player levels: Intermediate to Advanced. Cost
of the Seminar is $65.00.
Don Curtis will be conducting the
non-pedal seminar at the Convention this year covering both
the E7th and C6th 6 string tunings. You can still take the
course if you have an 8 string guitar. Friday, September
4th, from 9 am until 1 pm, for beginners to advanced

The
Hawaiian Steel
Guitar Association Annual Convention - October 8th, 9th and
10th at the Holiday Inn, 411 S. Larkin Ave., Joliet, IL.

rate $67.50 per night+tax. Rate is valid from Oct. 5th thru
Oct. 11th and must be made no later than September 1st.
Convention registration fee is $25.00 per person and must be

18th Annual N.E. Iowa Steel Show
-October 23rd, 24th and 25th at the Electric Park
Ballroom, 310 W. Conger, Waterloo, Iowa. Featured players
will be Dewitt Scott and Terry Bethel plus 30 steel
guitarists from several midwest states. There will be a free
jam session on Friday night open to the the public and all
musicians. Reduced rate hotel rooms are available at the
Heartland Inn, 1809 LaPorte Rd., Waterloo. Contact the hotel

The Pedal Steel Guitar
Association's 36th Anniversary Celebration - November 7th
and 8th, at the Doubletree Hotel, 789 Connecticut Ave.,
Norwalk, CT. Saturday, November 7th from Noon until 5:00 pm
and from 8:00 until 11:00 pm. Sunday the 8th from 11 am
